White Rock Parks Master Plan

The City of White Rock (City) is a seaside municipality of approximately 19,000 residents, with about 50 parks, some of them regionally important. This project involved preparation of the City’s first comprehensive Parks Master Plan. The Master Plan includes a review and analysis of existing parks; demographic analysis; a vision for the future; recommendations on parks acquisition, park development, outdoor recreation facilities, and parks operations; and an implementation plan with a detailed cost estimate. The planning process involved focus groups and public open houses, as well as review by a number of City committees.
