Iqaluit Cemetery Design

The City of Iqaluit needs a new cemetery. This project involved consultation with many groups in the community, including elders, religious leaders, and Council. The design respects Inuit culture and traditions, and blends the plan in with the tundra environment. Design options were prepared; all options provide spaces for gathering, healing and grieving, in addition to honouring those placed within the cemetery.
