Official Community Plan for Electoral Area ‘E’

Electoral Area ‘E’, located northeast of Salmon Arm, is a largely rural area with a significant amount of lake shoreline. Residential development includes seasonal and year-round residents and there is also commercial and industrial development and agriculture. This area had never had an OCP, only part of it had a zoning bylaw, and there is no building inspection. The OCP process included significant consultation through an Advisory Group and public meetings. The focus is on Smart Growth principles, with a goal of providing a new serviced settlement area. CBA was responsible for all aspects of the planning process, including facilitating the public process, GIS, and plan preparation.
