Cape Roger Curtis

At 650 acres in size, the Cape Roger Curtis lands represent the largest single piece of private property on Bowen Island, and many Islanders, from years of informal recreational use, consider the lands the jewel of Bowen Island. CBA was lead planner on this project for two years, conducting a process to analyze the resources, engage the community, and develop a plan to maximize social, environmental and economic benefits. Many plan options were generated, preserving and protecting unique opportunities and resources, and aiming to enhance the quality of life for Bowen Islanders and others. When the land ownership was restructured, the planning was passed on to others.
