Black Tusk Village/ Pinecrest Estates Sub Area Plan

The study area, located between Squamish and Whistler, includes two residential communities, the Sea to Sky Highway corridor, numerous lakes that provide for power generation and recreation, a major landslide hazard area, and surrounding mountainous terrain. The Whistler South OCP that covers the area provides very broad policies for land use. The Sub Area Plan provides an OCP amendment with more specific direction on land use, environmental guidelines, and the form and character of future development. The planning process included an advisory committee and public sessions. The plan was adopted by the regional board.
